Hélène Vial is a professor of Latin language and literature at Université Clermont Auvergne and a member of CELIS. A graduate of ENS Fontenay-Saint-Cloud with an agrégation in classical letters (1997), a doctorate (2003), and habilitation to supervise research (2018), her work focuses on Ovid, the rewriting of myths from Antiquity to the 21st century, and poetic genres and forms of anger.
